I have just finshed for the weekend again, so I thought I would throw a few words together to start my journal.

The images you see here will normally all be astronomical, although I might include something terrestrial that catches my fancy.

The astronomical images are because I am always in awe of the shear scale and beauty of the universe, yet at the same time aware of the massive death and destruction that accompanies that beauty.
The first image I put here is something called M27, and is what happens to a star like the sun when it runs out of fuel and dies.

Even in death there can be beauty.
